Kear, Sarah

Word was received here Saturday announcing the death of Mrs. Sarah Kear, formerly of this place, perhaps better known as Sarah Meredith, of Oakland California, last Saturday. The deceased was about 78 years of age.  Funeral was held and burial made in Oakland the first of the week.  She is survived by two sons, Arthur of the home and Owen of Glouster, Ohio, two sisters, Mrs. William Wright, of Lore City, Ohio and Mrs. Charles Severance of Worthington, Ohio and a host of other relatives and friends.

Kelley, Charley aka, Dean, Charles

Charley Kelly, aged 68 years, who had been in poor health for some time, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harve Craig, on Welsh Hill, Tuesday evening of dropsy and heart trouble.  He passed away while sitting in a chair conversing with the family.  Funeral conducted by Rev. Ross, was held at the Craig home this afternoon.  The name of the deceased was Charles Dean.  He was born near Saltillo, Ohio. At the death of his father he, with a brother and sister were placed in the County Children’s home from where he was adopted by Patrick Kelly.(sic)  His sister died in Corning many years ago just after graduating from High school.  His mother remarried but she too died about 11 years ago.  At the time of his death it was not known that he had any living relatives.
