Canaday, Mrs. Rose

Mrs. Rose, wife of William Canaday, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Denny, died Saturday, Aug. 10, aged 21 years, 5 months and 26 days, at Rehobeth.  She was an estimable lady, and a large circle of relatives and friends mourn her death.

Cochrel, Hester A.

We note the death of Mrs. Hester A. Cochrel at Philo, Monday.  The deceased was the mother of Mrs. J. S. Rambo, formerly of this place, now of Richwood, Ohio. Death resulted from an illness due to a fracture of the hip and arm suffered three months ago by a fall on the ice.  She is survived by the following children:  Mrs. Charles Norris and Mrs. J.C. McSwords of Zanesville; Mrs. George Becker of Teaneck, N. J. ; Mrs. J.S. Rambo of Richwood; Mrs. Guy B. Lentz of Newark; Mrs. Charles Tisler, of Denver Colo; Mrs. Julia of the home and Charles at Philo; one brother Frank Price of Eaton; one sister Mrs. W.H. Ranney of Philo, also 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral took place from the home in Philo at 2 o’clock yesterday with Rev. Palmer officiating.  Interment was made at Duncan Falls.

Colborn, James F.

New Lexington--James F. Colborn, 82, former New Lexington resident, died Feb 9 at Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville after a long illness.  He was born Oct 25, 1889 in Perry County, the son of John and Etta Colborn.  He is survived by a son, Alfred Colborn of Columbus; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.  Private services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chute Wiley Funeral Home here with Rev. James Allison officiating.  Burial was in New Lexington Cemetery.
